It's actually shocking that Hodgson's goalscoring record is not only the worst in our history, but so amazingly much worse than his competitors. The gulf between Hodgson's 1.32 goals per game and the next worst (Kay's 1.54) is bigger than the gap from Kay all the way up to the all-time total (1.75), skipping over ten other managers along the way. He really was a generational talent.
