How do Liverpool recover from a down season? What's the deal with Kevin Schade? And how much football do English clubs play compared to Champions League rivals?

Now I‘m even more initrigued by the player. I‘ve read that he is one of the fastest players in the league. He was signed from Freiburg which have a well known academy in Germany, played u21 tournament in 2023 alongside Angelo Stiller but has barely featured in international games since. Curious that.
His superpower seems to be heading. According to Fotmob, 23 of his 51 shots are headers. He is 99 percentile for aerial wins for his position.
Schade is a good shout mate. His goal production, shot quality & defensive contribution look strong. He'll turn 25 (peak age) in the fall, can play CF & RF and comes with an EPL-proven pedigree. If he were able to create more threat from his dribbling (<1 dribble p90 and <30% success rate), he would likely be on the list to replace Mo.
Seems like a good option to upgrade on Fede but two big questions make me skeptical. Will Edwards/Hughes invest a big fee (likely demanded from Brentford w 2yr remaining on his contract) for a reserve player? Will he be willing to come in & fight Cody for a spot in the XI (vs. stay another year at Brentford where he'll definitely start)?
Yeah, Schade is not best in class but I think that is exactly the type of profile we need at the moment on the left. I could see him coming in as a challenger to Gakpo and a rotation for Isak. If successful that would open the door for a Gakpo move mid season or end of season.
Long term the idea will be for Rio to claim that position but I think he needs two more years to become a regular starter playing all competitions. Rio could also benefit from someone who demonstrates other important aspects of the position, ie exactly the traits Schade has, to become a complete player. I’m not sure a Barcola or Gordon could offer that.
I assume Brentford would demand a high transfer fee but with good payment conditions due to the good relationship between the clubs. On the other hand, I expect his wage demands to be moderate and if sold down the line we could expect a slight profit due to his low profile at the moment. So, overall could be a good move.
For some reason, I can't get access to the question thread but mention of Schade above reminded me of recent rumours of Hughes moving on during the offseason. I'm assuming it would be next man up but who's Hughes next in line?
Could also be David Woodine, the assistant sporting director. Edwards recruited him to LFC in 2014 (Woodfine worked for him at Portsmouth) so he's got a lot of history with the club and with FSG. Woodfine started in scouting/recruitment operations. He added "special projects" to his remit where he was reportedly integral to the building of the new 1st team training ground at Kirkby. He then succeeded Ward as head of loans before leaving at the end of 2022-23 (simultaneous with Ward). Woodfine re-joined in summer 2024 to assist Hughes. With three seasons as Hughes' understudy and 12 with the club in many departments, he's a good shout to succeed him at the end of his contract.
