Will Osula can come off the one goal list!

So... what have I missed?

Thanks Beez. It reads like Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events". Continuing the movie "metaphor" let's imagine you had access to Doc Martin's Delorian for one return journey only (Back To The Future). Which Liverpool player from 24-25, who plays for us currently, would you bring in to replace their 25-26 version? And can we can quantify the difference that player would make i.e. turning draws into wins, losses into draws. I know who I'd have in the passenger seat.

It's a good question. The obvious answer is Salah but would 24/25 Salah prosper in the current, slightly broken team? I doubt he'd score as many. The framing of the question rules out Alexander-Arnold or Diaz returning to save the day. A fully fit, in form Mac Allister might be the correct choice.

A great set of memories of this season. Thanks?? :)

You can safely add Cody's "clearance" of Curtis' certain goal last night in the 51st to your list ... still not sure how we didn't score the best chance we created all evening. Also, Andre's deflection for the 2nd. Last night added to the madness tally for the season.

In addition to some madness, it's the repetitive themes of (1) no attacking threat from the flanks and (2) losing concentration - switching off in defense that drives the bad results.

Between the boxes, we dominated the ball last night. When attacking the final third, we were poor with only 2 low-quality shots from open play in the danger zone & the opponent "created" the one we scored. For both Wolves goals, we lose concentration or switch off. What is Ibou doing that close to Virg/Orokadare when they are practically at midfield, facing away from goal? Why does he not scan for Gomes, the only other forward in their 5311, and drop/move toward him? You could say the same about the Andre goal ... when Ali mishits the clearance, not one of Rio/Fede/Robbo (all of them well-rested subs who were close by) sprints to close down the space?

These two problems mean we're gonna ride this rollercoaster to the end and no one can predict where we will land. The first one can't be solved until the summer so we need to keep banging in set pieces & continue to not concede them. The second one feels increasingly like a mentality problem that a transfer can't fix.
