You shouldn't feel too bad when your team scores five goals, and yet...

Whatever, up the Reds!

I thought Fernandes and Summerville (who has a habit of playing well against us), were both outstanding.

West Ham will stay up if they keep playing like that.

I liked Fernandes at Saints, and he’s only 21. Impressed with his physical strength for a relatively slight player, his passing was good and he gets about the pitch well. Could be a deal to be had if West Ham do get relegated.

Do you remember the outrage when Liverpool signed a young player from a relegated team a few years ago?

Whatever happened to Andy Robertson anyway?😂

And Wijnaldum and (to a far lesser extent) Shaqiri too. All from relegated sides.

Strange game.

We've played so much better this season but lost, so am happy with the win and some overdue fortune.

We did create a few of our own problems at the back - not sure if it was nerves or complacency, but we largely got away with it today.

Thought Konate and Joe did well.

3 points which could be priceless.

Beez - thanks. Weird game but good win. But I'm sitting here wondering what is going on with Curtis? Since he played against Burnley after mid Jan he's barely played whilst Macca has been racking up minutes. Not sure why even just to rotate and keep first picks fresh.

My assumption for yesterday in isolation was that Jones was left on the bench because he's definitely starting at Wolves. We'll have to see on that.

But his overall general exclusion has been weird, especially after starting 9 of 10 up to that Burnley game you mention. I have to assume he'd have started Qarabag had he not been ill but who knows....

I don't know if he will start on Tuesday. Mac Allister could have come off, even for 10-15 minutes, to manage his minutes but Slot is playing him right through games. Its not as if Jones' nine starts prior to and including Burnley generated poor results - W5, D4. But something is going on and it feels a shame if we lose a mid-20s local player who has shown himself to be an all weather midfielder. It is odd even if Jones is refusing to sign a new contract. Maybe he wanted out in January, which is when he was playing.
