I don't know, tbh. We were attractive last summer, much less so now so that's going to limit our attractiveness to top tier players. Also the uncertainty over Slot being retained beyond this season is again going to limit attractiveness.
With us signing a plethora of young CBs this window, I wonder if we're returning to building from youth in future?
I wouldn't underestimate Liverpool's wage bill. They've got six players on £200k or more, which is more than Chelsea (3) and United (2) combined. Same as Arsenal, only City have more (10!)
I don’t but 2 of those should be off the wage bill in about 18 months. My hug bear is because a player is foreign he is obviously/automatically better than an English equivalent. When was the last time we signed a Heighway/Keegan/Clemence there’s talent out there we just can’t be arsed looking for them.

All the top clubs are in a mess or managerless …..as always it’s going to come to who pays the most wages …..clue…..it won’t be us
